Imagine a scene straight out of a Charles Dickens novel and you will find yourself at the 2007 Holiday Festival and Benefit Street Stroll this December 7th and 8th. The festival kicks off with a patron’s reception, followed the next day by a private tour of historic Benefit Street houses adorned in holiday fanfare. Stay for the evening and enjoy the Benefit Street Stroll with carolers singing along the streets, horse drawn carriage rides, roasted chestnuts, hot chocolate, holiday shopping, activities for the kids, a door-decorating contest and a tree lighting ceremony. This special holiday event, hosted by the Providence Preservation Society, serves as a fundraising and education event as well as a great place to celebrate the holidays with the family!
